State-licensed pharmacies only
Every pharmacy on Script Unlock holds an active license in the state where they dispense. We cross-check NPI registration against state board of pharmacy records before any pharmacy can place a bid.

No upfront payment from patients
Patients never pay Script Unlock to compare prices. You pay the winning pharmacy directly at pickup or delivery - the same way you would at any normal pharmacy.
Licensed pharmacists available
Every licensed US pharmacy has a pharmacist-in-charge by law. You can call the pharmacy, or message it from your order page once you accept its quote, and ask to speak with its pharmacist about interactions, side effects or substitutions.
How Script Unlock verifies pharmacies
Every pharmacy passes five verification checks before they can place a bid. You can re-run any of these checks yourself - the registries are public.
NPI registry match
We pull the pharmacy’s NPI from the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System and confirm the name, address, and taxonomy code match what they submitted.
State board of pharmacy lookup
The pharmacy license is checked on the state board of pharmacy's public registry. It must be active and issued to the applying business. A person does this check; there is no automated approval.
Suspension
A pharmacy whose license lapses, or that a patient reports for a problem we cannot resolve, is suspended from quoting until the issue is cleared.

What pharmacies see
Before you accept a quote, the prescription details pharmacies need to price it, without your name, contact details or the prescription image. The pharmacy you choose sees those once you accept its quote, so it can fill your order.
What we never sell
We do not sell prescription history, medication searches, contact information, or any patient identifier to PBMs, advertisers, data brokers, or third parties. Our privacy policy says so in writing.
What we delete
How long uploads are kept, and how to ask for deletion, is set out in our privacy policy. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
Script Unlock doesn't have these. Most sketchy sites do.
