About Script Unlock
A marketplace where a patient uploads a prescription and licensed, verified pharmacies each respond with their own cash price. The patient chooses a pharmacy and pays it directly. That is the whole product.
Why it exists
The cash price of a prescription is set by each pharmacy, and pharmacies rarely publish it. A patient without insurance, or with a deductible that makes insurance irrelevant for a given fill, has no practical way to find out what each pharmacy would charge without calling them one by one. Discount cards answer that with a price set by a middleman. Script Unlock answers it by letting the pharmacies themselves quote on the actual prescription.
We publish no estimated, average or typical prices anywhere on this site. If a page told you what a drug "usually" costs, that number would not be your number. The only price that matters is the one a pharmacy is willing to charge you, for your prescription, today.
Who runs it
Julian founded Script Unlock and runs it. He reads every pharmacy application and replies personally.
Script Unlock is a small, founder-run company. It does not employ pharmacists or physicians, and no page on this site is medically reviewed unless it says so and names the reviewer. How we handle medical information.
How it makes money
- Pharmacies pay a monthly subscription per location to see and respond to requests.
- Pharmacies pay a percentage fee on orders fulfilled through the platform.
- Patients pay Script Unlock nothing. Script Unlock never processes a patient payment and never takes a cut of what you pay the pharmacy.
Full pricing. We do not sell prescription data, and we do not accept payment from manufacturers or PBMs.
What we check
Before a pharmacy can see or respond to a prescription, a person checks it against its NPI record and its state board license. That is the extent of it: we do not inspect pharmacies, audit their dispensing, or rate them.
