6-Step Pharmacy Verification
How Script Unlock Verifies Every Pharmacy
Before any pharmacy can bid on your prescription, they pass a rigorous 6-step verification process. We don't list pharmacies — we verify them. Every pharmacy in our network is confirmed licensed, compliant, and HIPAA-certified.
1
State Pharmacy Board License Verification
Every pharmacy is cross-referenced against all 50 state pharmacy board databases. License must be current, in good standing, and active. Expired or suspended licenses result in immediate removal.
2
NABP E-Profile Check
We verify against the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) to confirm the pharmacy and pharmacist-in-charge credentials meet national standards.
3
DEA Registration (Controlled Substances)
Pharmacies dispensing Schedule II-V controlled medications must have active DEA registration. We verify DEA numbers before allowing these pharmacies to bid on controlled substance prescriptions.
4
Compounding Pharmacy — USP Compliance
Compounding pharmacies must demonstrate USP 795 (non-sterile) or USP 797 (sterile) compliance. We require documentation of most recent inspection results.
5
HIPAA Business Associate Agreement
Every pharmacy signs our BAA confirming they handle patient prescription data in compliance with HIPAA. No pharmacy data sharing without patient consent.
6
Ongoing Monitoring
License status is re-verified monthly through automated database checks. Pharmacies with changed status (suspension, disciplinary action) are immediately flagged and suspended from bidding.
What This Means for You
When you compare prices on Script Unlock, every pharmacy showing you a bid is verified, licensed, and operating in compliance with state and federal law. You never need to wonder if a pharmacy is legitimate — we've already confirmed it.
