The 2026 Reclassification Timeline
FDA moves 19 peptides — including Pentadecapeptide (BPC Oral) — to Category 2, effectively ending legal 503A compounding access. Concerns cited: immunogenicity risk, peptide-related impurities, limited human safety data.
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr announces on Joe Rogan Experience #2461 that approximately 14 of the 19 restricted peptides will move from Category 2 back to Category 1. Pentadecapeptide (BPC Oral) is on this list.
FDA announces the Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) will convene July 23–24, 2026 to review specific peptides for the 503A Bulks List.
